Tenant · SDA participant

The home does the work. The app adapts to you.

Specialist Disability Accommodation is engineered to make a life liveable. The tenant surface has to be engineered the same way — for the participant first, however they read, tap, speak, or ask for help.

Modelled against High Physical Support, the strictest category. If it works here, Improved Liveability, Fully Accessible, Robust and mainstream housing fit inside the same schema.

What's new in v0.2. The interface adapts to the participant, not the other way round. Help lives at the bottom of every screen. Voice, pictograms and communication tiles are first-class.
The participant
Reads the home in the way that suits them.
Family & support workers
See what the participant sees, with permission.
Coordinator & NDIS Q&S
See a live safety and compliance record.
Insurer
Sees an auditable trail without asking for one.
1 Adapts to you

The first question isn't "log in".

It's "how do you want to use this?" Read to me. Larger words. Simpler view. Just read. The mode isn't buried in a settings screen. It's the front door, and it can be changed at any time.

The same content renders four different ways. A participant with a cognitive load can pick "Simpler view" and see three things per screen instead of ten. Someone with low vision picks "Larger words". Someone using switch access picks "Read to me" and never types.

2 Help lives at the bottom

Help doesn't hide in a menu. It's on every screen.

The orange bar at the bottom never moves. One tap opens the help sheet without leaving what Ada was doing. Emergency, on-shift support worker, family — all reachable by intent, not by escalation ladder.

Under the routes: communication tiles. Water. Food. Toilet. Pain. Happy. Sad. First-class AAC support for participants who can't or don't want to speak, without needing a separate app or a plug-in.

"All of these work whether you can speak or not."

This surface never contains a sponsored offer. Vestra earns from the home, not from the person living in it.

3 Confirmations are the interface

Tell us what's happening. Any way you can.

The mic button is the primary control. Ada holds it and speaks. If she can't speak, she picks the room by pictogram, adds a photo if she has one, and sends. The form forgives what it can.

Then a confirmation state that is not a toast. A full screen that says: "Sent. Ashan will call you back." A picture of what happens next. An "undo" if it was a mistake. No jargon, no ticket numbers, no "your request has been logged".

Why this variant matters

The strictest case sets the standard.

If Vestra can serve a High Physical Support home well — plain to the participant, calm for the family, complete for the coordinator, auditable for the insurer — every other category of housing sits inside the same record with the strict bits switched off.

Improved Liveability, Fully Accessible, Robust, mainstream rooming house, private rental. Same schema. Different chrome.
